**Job Description**
This position is a part-time, nine-credit activity assignment. It provides direction and development of the Yellowjackets Women's Soccer program. Maintain a focus on education and academic achievements: aid student athletes in achieving a high level of skill, grow their appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and increase their level of self-esteem. RCTC is a Division III member of the NJCAA and a member of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference. Performance appraisals will be conducted in accordance with policy provisions.

Overview
+ Recruit quality student athletes to maintain a fully enrolled and competitive NJCAA program
+ Clear understanding and adherence to NJCAA, MCAC and RCTC policies, rules and regulations
+ Direct all phases of the program
+ Develop, submit and monitor budget for the season
+ Coordinate, conduct and evaluate college tryouts, when appropriate, visit high schools, home visits and meet with incoming athletes
+ Organize, schedule, coach and supervise all practices and games/matches/tournaments
+ Schedule travel and supervise team travel
+ Create atmosphere that promotes good citizenship and sportsmanship
+ Keep up in all current trends and styles by attending clinics and MCAC Coaches meetings related to assigned sport, as well as be able to relate information to student athletes
+ Show technique, offer drills to practice that technique and evaluate its effectiveness
+ Maintain player statistics and program historic records
+ Collaborate with the RCTC Equipment Manager to inventory, maintain, and be accountable for all program equipment, uniforms, and supplies
+ Collaborative with Sports Facility Director to maintain the cleanliness of practice rooms, locker rooms, and other facilities or files used by the program athletes
+ Promote season to local and national media through press releases and other methods of public relations by working collaboratively with RCTC Marketing
+ Commitment to student retention
+ Commitment to support and monitor student athlete academic achievements and progress
+ Participate in community fund-raising efforts and public relations
+ The Head Coach will be professional, reliable and punctual
+ Assist in hiring and evaluation of assistant coaches
+ Ability to relate to various constituent groups and work cooperatively and effectively in a highly collaborative and culturally diverse environment and campus community
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines
+ Understanding of and commitment to further the College’s mission
+ Supervise work student students
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ At least 2 years soccer coaching experience
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Master’s degree in related field
+ Collegiate coaching experience
