The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for developing, organizing, and managing all phases of the women’s volleyball program. This position focuses on recruiting, retaining, and graduating student-athletes while fostering academic, athletic, and personal growth. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations, and enhancing the program through effective coaching, mentoring, and fundraising initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead and instruct student-athletes in their personal, academic, and athletic development Plan and oversee team practices, match strategies, and opposing team analyses Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations Recruit, retain, and graduate student-athletes capable of thriving in a competitive academic and athletic environment Counsel team members on academic, disciplinary, and personal matters Manage the program’s budget and monitor expenditures Oversee volleyball staff, including hiring, supervision, and performance evaluations Innovate training techniques, leveraging advancements in women’s volleyball strategies, equipment, and facilities Collaborate with the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development to create and execute fundraising strategiesQualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred Experience: Collegiate-level coaching experience with knowledge of NCAA Division II regulations Head coaching experience preferred Proven track record of successful collegiate recruiting Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities Effective problem-solving and communication skills Commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in academic, athletic, and personal development
