Job Description
The position is a full-time, exempt, 12-month commitment and reports to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The applicant must demonstrate exemplary leadership, recruiting, and coaching skills, and thorough knowledge and adherence to compliance with all NCAA applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.
The person in this position is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and all aspects of running a competitive women’s soccer program, including but not limited to identifying and recruiting successful student-athletes, skill development, scouting, fundraising, monitoring student-athlete academic progress, game preparation, and practice. The selected candidate will also assist in organizing and running soccer camps.
Qualifications
Applicant must demonstrate a strong professional work ethic and an unwavering commitment to the academic success of students and the Christian mission of the University. The successful applicant must also possess significant knowledge of and demonstrated success in coaching soccer, recruiting student-athletes, and strong motivation, organizational and communication skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in the environment of a Christian higher education institution, abide by all NCAA DII, Northern Sun Conference, and University policies, and have a commitment to the academic success of student-athletes.
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of collegiate coaching experience, a minimum USSF C license or equivalent, and collegiate playing experience is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s is preferred. Travel is necessary with a valid driver’s license, the ability to successfully pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license, and lift up to 20 lbs. is required.
