You will manage the delivery of all HSE activities in a manufacturing facility or commercial areas (offices, Sales, Warehouses) , including standards & procedures, capability processes, reporting, compliance and audit.  That means you will define and review standards and legislation applicable to site, validate design for HSE into projects and modifications, and support defined work processes (e.g. IIM pillar) to improve HSE application and effectiveness. Also, you will map all applicable legislation and internal standards, ensure ongoing compliance and manage relationship with legal department and local authorities. How you will contribute

You will:

Co-ordinate implementation of all HSE programs and processes. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiativesPlan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to enable execution of the HSE plan and adherence to all internal and external compliance standardsProvide HSE expertise for the facility/function for all new projects and change management activitiesEnsure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitorsEnsure that the appropriate talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and supports development and learning capabilities of Safety specialistsEnsure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulationsEnsure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization

Experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Practitioner preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environmentDemonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project managementExcellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levelsExperience with Health and Safety audit experience

More about this role

Education / Certifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety or related technical field (Chemical Engineering, industrial engineering, environment engineering. 

Job specific requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Leader of the HSE function in an industrial environment, or a combination of HSE, Manufacturing/Operations leadership. Demonstrated success in reducing total injury rate and building strong HSE programs. Lead a Cultural Health & Safety Environmental Transformation Demonstrated ability to build functional and plant teams and create motivational environment.Experience in managing Health & Safety Environmental personnel. Good knowledge of local and international safety and environment standards (ISO 14001, OSHA).Technical training in HSE (Risk Assessment, ISO13489, IS14001, Root Cause Analysis, etc.). Results Oriented with experience managing change and processes in a complex environment.Ability to provide leadership and technical expertise in management of HSE agenda
 

“The base salary range for this position is $117,400 - $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
