Here's how an Health, Safety, & Environmental (HSE) Intern Summer 2025 for our Tempe, Arizona office contributes to our team: **Responsibilities** + Gathers/reviews/distributes safety-related statistical information + Monitors site-specific programs/requirements/compliance + Recognizes and follows PCL and local legislative requirements + Anticipates questions based on experience, knowledge, and understanding of client needs + Conceptually visualizes a completed project or project component (e.g., generator installation process) + Recognizes behaviors, conditions, and activities that can adversely affect health + Interprets simple work sequences + Liaises effectively with project and field management + Applies basic knowledge of behavioral concepts + Interprets, communicates, and reinforces project safety standards to workforce **Qualifications** + Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) industry + A desire to pursue a career as an HSE professional + Proof of eligibility to work in the United States + 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License + Willing to work and live in the Phoenix, Arizona area + Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations + This is an hourly non-exempt position + Must be able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis, climb ladders and stairs + Must be able to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment + Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check, a physical, and a substance abuse test each conducted by a third party PCL is an innovative, employee-owned company comprised of people who find passion in their profession and take pride in doing great work every day.
