HSE Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tSupport in the continuous improvement of the HSE Strategy.•\tAnalyze metrics and HSE data to identify top offenders. Develop and implement programs, initiatives, projects, etc. to address top offenders.•\tEvaluate employee satisfaction with HSE Department (daily support, communica-tion, programs, PPE program, others.), Develop an action plan to improve employee satisfaction. •\tLead the annual Activity Based Risk Assessment update plan for all production are-as. •\tComplete self-assessments (chemicals, Lockout Tagout, Machine Guarding, etc.) and develop a corrective action plan.

Qualifications for the role

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent, in the United States. \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
