Job description

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Principal Consultant to join our team.

Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
The Principal consultant will be responsible for maintaining and operating applications supported by Infosys. The consultant will also design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot high-performance mission-critical applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the technologies involved, SDLC models (Waterfall and/or Agile), and the ITIL process.

Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:At least 11 years of experience with the HHS domainWorking experience from at least 2 state projectsAt least 5 years of experience in requirement, design, and testing, of applications Working knowledge of PL/SQL queriesExperience and desire to work in a distributed delivery environmentAble to play a crucial role in an operations and maintenance project
Preferred Skills:Knowledge of the IITL process and Agile MethodologiesIn the role of Principal Consultant, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Design, and DevelopmentPlay an important role in creating the detailed level design artifactsDeliver high-quality deliverables, perform validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warrantyBe part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued
Educational Requirements:A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education.
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
