OVERVIEW
ATS’ Global Services team is a dynamic, change-leading team that drives the delivery of value-driven Services to our customers worldwide. Services is a growing component of the overall delivery of value to ATS’ customers globally and offers an opportunity for an opportunistic individual to create a well-defined offer structure of high-value service solutions to drive ongoing value.
This role is responsible for promoting and implementing health, safety and environmental programs in After Sales & Service USA and Canada physical or remote sites. Acts as an internal technical resource to provide guidance and training on a variety of health, safety and environment issues. Conducts internal HSE audits of ATS facilities to ensure compliance to all legislative and corporate requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for driving success in accident prevention through implementation of Company programs to promote and improve Health & Safety.
+ Provides HSE onboarding training, maintains training tracking and records.
+ Provides expertise in anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of health/safety hazards and related compliance at the site.
+ Works closely with local leadership at site and remote teams to identify risks and proactively develops/implements control methodology for these risks.
+ Meets monthly with After Sales & Service Leadership to discuss and evaluate progress and needs on a variety of HSE activities including yearly safety plan targets, audit action plan updates, incident trends and management support for HSE initiatives.
+ Drives compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training by working with departments for scheduling, external training, and provides internal training for ATS specific program requirements.
+ Implements and monitors Contractor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management program for the After Sales & Service division in North America.
+ Supports maintenance of customer required Contractor HSE Management subscriptions compliance.
+ Assists with completion of Supplier HSE Requirements submissions on a timely basis for divisional project bids.
+ Monitors and audits field related activities to ensure HSE programs are being adhered to
+ Implement and administer standardized plant HSE processes to ensure compliance to applicable government regulations as well as corporate standards.
+ Drives attainment of organizational goals through the elimination of environmental impacts, occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
+ Analyzes injury/illness expense, identifying/tracking injury correlation, determining root causes, establishing corrective action measures; analyze environmental incidents, determine root causes, and ensures appropriate corrective actions are implemented and maintained.
+ Coordinates communication of HSE regulatory inspection activity with site leadership
+ Participates in the development and continuous improvement of HSE initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations and industry leading safety practices.
+ Provides and maintains accurate statistical data, reports and analysis of injury trends to operations in support of divisional accident reduction goals.
+ Participates in divisional Health & Safety Committee activities, ensuring regular meetings and inspections are taking place, follow up action is being taken, and that required membership and certification requirements are met.
+ Oversees workers’ compensation claims management, administration and reporting requirements; assists in the resolution of claims as required.
+ Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in a Health and Safety related discipline.
+ Minimum of 3 years of hands-on health and safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.
+ Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
+ Strong understanding of HSE regulatory framework in USA and Canada.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
