We are hiring a Health Care Administrator at The Cardinal at North Hills.  The Health Care Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Skilled Nursing facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.

 

 

What will I do every day?

 

Ensure the effective and efficient daily operations of Skilled NursingPlan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's programs and activitiesResponsible for utilization and compliance with MedicareDevelop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facilityAs well as interpret all facility's policies and procedures to associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etcManage partnerships and contracts with third parties, including, but not limited to pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic, hospice and other ancillary providersRepresent the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies and third-party payers, or provide an authorized representative of the facility when unable to attend such meetingsMake routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followedReview and develop a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such plan as requiredMaintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the facility and community alike.Serve as liaison between the Health Center and the Independent Living residentsAssist the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified quality deficienciesResponsible for interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating and terminating staff in a timely and equitable mannerCreate teamwork by creating a motivating environment by developing confidence in direct reportsProvide opportunities for associates to engage in their work, the community and the companyPrepare an annual operating budget for approvalParticipate in cost control activities through an organized system of monitoring the utilization of supplies and equipment, evaluating and setting standards for supply and equipment usage
 

What will I need to be successful in this role?

A passion for excellenceA Bachelor's Degree is necessaryA degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health-related degree is preferred but not requiredMust have, as a minimum, three years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital , skilled nursing or long-term care facilityExperience working with seniors highly desirable

Special Requirments and or Certifications:

Required Valid Northa Carolina Administrator LicenseLPN or RN license preferred
