Health Care Insurance Manager 

 

Health Insurers are developing into a critical factor for Bayer Pharmaceuticals and are determining more and more the commercial value of all products and projects of Bayer Pharmaceuticals. This field of expertise is focusing on the relation with healthcare insurance companies and understanding of healthcare insurance related policies and their effect on pharmaceutical products. The Healthcare Insurance Manager co-determines the strategy, implementation and coordination of commercial activities to contribute to optimal accessibility of Bayer products to the Dutch market in relation to the healthcare insurance companies. You will be working in cross functional teams. You will be reporting to the Chapter Head Customer Engagement Specialists (CES) & Commercial Netherlands. 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Co-determine and implement the Bayer healthcare insurers company policy aimed at sustainable cooperation on business and product level.Develop and maintain a strong network with all major healthcare insurance companies on national and local level, including industry associations like Zorgverzekeraars Nederland, to increase the level of cooperation.Proactively discuss our future portfolio informing them on costs shifts in healthcare landscape regarding reimbursement models and possible pilots in certain regions with specialized hospitals. Also gaining information on how HICs want to implement cell and gene therapies within their policies.Share insights about changes in the healthcare field with internal stakeholders to adjust market approach. Build profitable B2B project cases and make proposals to healthcare insurance companies in close cooperation with Hospital and Stakeholder Management, Tender Management, Nuclei Leads and Market Access.Monitor and report national trends, needs and activities within the healthcare insurance environment when access issues play a possible role and define how to mitigate those.Build knowledge regarding policies and purchasing methods by healthcare insurance companies to analyze the impact on the Bayer Pharma portfolio of such measures and advise about possible solutions.Translate trends within the healthcare insurance environment to initiatives for strategic cooperation; co-develop innovative, value-based solutions using relevant customer and market insights. Cooperate and drive with regional account managers of the healthcare insurance companies to develop and implement financial and non-financial projects related the to the Bayer portfolio. Initiate, execute and monitor these projects to ensure the positioning of our products. Carry out our mission, vision and strategic intentions to healthcare insurance companies.

 

Your internal work relations include Nuclei Leads, Content Leads, Chapter Heads, Cluster Head BNL, Regulatory Affairs, Medical, Controlling and LPC. Your external relations include local and regional key stakeholders (account managers) of healthcare insurance companies based on their strategic and/or financial responsibilities on national level and key stakeholders of Zorgverzekeraars Nederland. You will actively participate in Vereniging Innovatieve Geneesmiddelen working group.

WHO YOU ARE

University degree in life sciences or business administration. Medical or para-medical background is a plus.At least 5 years of relevant working experience. Deep and broad knowledge of product, market and the Dutch healthcare system. Expertise in working in cross-functional teams.Strong analytical skills.Strong entrepreneurial skills and commercial thinking, highly developed negotiation skills.Excellent planning and organizing skills.Outstanding relationship-building abilities and networking skills.Strategic and business mindset.Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken, as well as strong intercultural skills.
