Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a talented litigation Attorney to join their Health Care Professional Liability practice group in Kansas City. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients in a non-partner-track role, gaining substantial experience across a diverse range of health care liability matters.

 

Candidate Profile:

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Bar Admission in Kansas or Missouri. 3–5 years of experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or related civil litigation. Proficiency in case management, trial preparation, and all facets of litigation, including drafting and reviewing discovery and motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling court appearances. Strong writing, research, and communication skills, with proven experience in high-stakes litigation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Health Care Professional Liability team in managing complex cases, focusing on medical malpractice and other health care-related claims. Draft and review discovery materials, motions, and other litigation documents. Conduct depositions, manage court appearances, and collaborate on trial preparation to deliver top-tier representation for clients. Partner with experienced attorneys and contribute to the strategic direction of each case.
