Health Clinic Intern - Residency

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The Health Clinic Intern will be dedicated to learning both the administrative and the medical aspects of clinic operations. The Health Clinic Intern will participate in Job Shadowing upon approval from the Medical Staff office.
**Primary Tasks:**
1. Contributes to Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority’s objectives by completing specific work assignments dependent on the intern’s best career and coursework fit and organizational needs.
2. Participates in various pre-medical or related responsibilities with supervision, which could include administrative tasks, job shadowing, etc.
3. Participates in a trained and mentored role to gain hands-on operational knowledge of assigned responsibilities; performs basic responsibilities, assignments and/or tasks, shadows experienced staff and providers, attends internship trainings, etc.
4. Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the associate.
**Required Education, Skills and Experience:**
MINIMUM
+ Active student with major in Pre-Medical, Biology, or related undergraduate degree program with career aspirations in the Medical field.
+ Choctaw CDIB or Choctaw member status.
+ Must be currently attending an accredited college, university, or postsecondary educational institution.
+ Must be available to work 40 hour per week eight consecutive weeks.
+ Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5; 3.0 GPA or greater preferred.
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written on a technical level.
+ Ability to lift 20lb or more
+ Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently or in a group and manage priorities.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
