Under the immediate supervision of the Nephrology Department Manager, the Health Data Coordinator I performs functions necessary to reconcile a complete and integrated health record in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, hospital policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. This individual interfaces with external portals to process provider visits to external dialysis centers. They are responsible for pulling completed notes into our organization's EHR timely. This position works closely with billing/coding to accurately capture provider work outside the organization.

Required qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED. 1 year of medical record or related health care experience.

Preferred qualifications:

Upon hire: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association. Associate's Degree.
