**THIS IS AN ANTICIPATED VACANCY**
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent of this position will independently facilitate a sexual risk avoidance (SRA) education curriculum in middle schools and a SRA plus mental health curriculum in high schools. This incumbent will partner with Bay District Schools to provide SRA plus mental health education to fulfill the Governor’s Mental Health Education mandate for high school students. This incumbent will promote activities targeting middle and high school youth, their parents, guardians, and significant adults. The incumbent will also plan, facilitate and participate in community events and presentations promoting the SRA message. This position is a CS, full time, year-round staff member and requires some evening and weekend activities. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of data sets under his/her control. The incumbent will come to work and exhibit an attitude of friendliness and eager customer service towards all clients and act respectfully and courteously to fellow employees and clients.
Sexual Risk Avoidance Education and Promoting Activities
Independently facilitates a sexual risk avoidance education curriculum for middle school students. Independently facilitates a sexual risk avoidance plus mental health curriculum for all high school students in Bay County in partnership with Bay District Schools to fulfill the Governor’s Mental Health mandate beginning in January 2020. Promotes activities to Bay County youth, parents, guardians and significant adults in community settings in accordance with the project work plan or as designated by the project coordinator.
Participates in staff conferences and activity design in an endeavor to develop and improve sexual risk avoidance education and promoting activities.
Independently prepares necessary equipment, training aids and classrooms for sexual risk avoidance education and promoting activities.
Independently identifies recruits and provides ongoing training and activities utilizing project peer leaders to promote the sexual risk avoidance message in school and community settings.
Plans, develops and facilitates program events and activities.
Works with other sexual risk avoidance program staff to provide sexual risk avoidance education classes in schools and community.
Develops and maintains working relationships with community partners, community organizations, and governmental agencies to promote the sexual risk avoidance message to the community.
Administrative
Participates in project evaluation and staff development activities. Evaluates and analyzes project activities making corrective action recommendations.
Completes and provides activity report forms, sign-in sheets and evaluations at the completion of each activity. Enters classroom and community data into Excel accurately and in a timely manner.
