Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health Educator (WIC/Ambltry).
In this role, the successful candidate The Sexual Health Educator will provide health education and support for students participating in the SRAE program at Sunset Park Prep and Charles O Dewey Middle Schools The program will include facilitating the Making a Difference evidence based curriculum parent workshops and individual meetings with youth and a summer program to provide comprehensive age appropriate sexual health education for youth ages 10 13
Job Responsibilities:

Facilitate MAD curriculum with middle school students
Plan and facilitate parent workshops
Work with program coordinator to run summer peer educator group
Provide one on one risk reduction counseling to students and connect them to needed resources
Work with Coordinator to ensure all deliverables associated with SRAE grant are met including fidelity to the MAD curriculum
Build relationships with community partners school staff and parent organizations
Ensure that a Positive Youth Development Approach is used in all in programming and that all services and lessons are LGBTQ inclusive
Work with Coordinator to prepare reports for SRAE grant

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a HS Diploma Prior work experience with community health outreach Health related background
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree At least two years providing services to young adults Good interpersonal skills Workshop facilitation experience Interest in public health/sexual health education

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $47,308.39 - $51,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
