Summary of Job Duties:The Health Enrichment Specialist is responsible for the supervision of assigned sites utilized by the Head Start/Early Head Start Program. This includes the delivery of health services, maintenance of health data and documentation, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal mandates. The HES will also provide training to staff, parents, and volunteers on health needs, CPR, and First Aid. The position requires the coordination of transportation to medical/dental providers, liaison work between families and health service providers, and the initiation of medical assistance in emergencies. The HES will monitor referrals for follow-up care and serve as a member of the management team in monitoring program sites for compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Development Education, Public Health or Health related field PLUS one (1) year experience.
