HEALTH FITNESS TECHNICIAN
Job Overview:

This position's primary job duties and responsibilities may include some or all of the following: staffing a fitness center in a corporate/commercial and/or community setting, helping to maintain fitness center equipment, performing fitness assessments, assisting with managing the group fitness schedule, staffing health fairs, assisting with screenings like blood pressure, body composition, finger stick, etc.

Job Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an approved program for specific field of study in Health/Fitness
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 
Computer application skills

Job Responsibilities:

Assists the Site Coordinators in managing specialized group fitness programs and the facility itself (i.e., spinning, aquatics, front desk, fitness floor).
Develops individual exercise recommendations based on members' goals and provides equipment orientations as necessary. Administers and interprets fitness assessments as needed. Stays current with member tracking and re-evaluates and updates members' goals as necessary.
Fitness Instruction: consultations, equipment orientations, fitness testing, etc.
Maintains overall appearance and operation of the fitness and front desk areas. Performs daily cleaning duties, equipment inspections, and equipment prevenatative maintenance as scheduled. Provides quality customer and membership service and at the front desk (Filing, check-in service, membership cards and paperwork).
Helps to provide Member Education: bulletin boards, recipe cards, etc.
Provides Member Services: front desk coverage, new member sign up, etc.
Provides Manager on Duty responsibilities: MOD coverage and all managerial duties associated with this duty.
