DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Ensures receipt of all patient records, reviews each patient record for poor original, items that cannot be scanned, patient identification on each document, and groups documents in the appropriate order in preparation for scanning. Responsible for ensuring that all patient records and loose documents are scanned into the legal medical record on a daily basis with the highest level of quality possible. Responsible for indexing all documents to the appropriate patient folder and ensuring each document is assigned the appropriate document name. Performs deficiency analysis, reviewing all records for completeness. Maintains Register. Provides coverage for the department. Utilizes EDMS. Assists in answering the phones.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational High School graduate Prior experience in Medical Record Department is helpful. Experience with computer applications is helpful. Must, at least, possess keyboarding skills. Course in medical terminology preferred.

Ability to perform repetitive clerical tasks rapidly with minimal error and close attention to detail.
