We are currently seeking a talented Health Information Management Technician to join our dynamic and growing team. This position is full-time and is responsible for performing multiple tasks that will ensure the service provided by the HIM Department meets the needs of all customers. Those services include prepping and/or scanning for document imaging, analyzing health records for documentation compliance in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations. This position also supports HIM department functions including, but not limited to, coordination of audits, provides general office coverage including answering phones and responding to request for information from internal and external customers, validates accuracy of master patient index data and patient demographic data.
Successful candidates will possess:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2-3 years of related experience
Detail-oriented with superior telephone etiquette, customer service, and communication skills
Able to maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Experience with electronic filing systems required.
HIM/Medical Records analysis required.
