About the job:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Health Information Specialist II performs a variety of activities in the HIM Department by providing customer service, greeting patients and visitors on the phone or in person; reviewing and processing requests for release of information to patients and for continuity of care; and analyzing medical records for deficiency and quality.

Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

·Education: High School graduate is required. Associate Degree in Health Information Management preferred.Licensure / Certification: Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician preferred.Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of related experience
