Health Information Technician

You'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and accessible medical records by managing electronic health data, processing information, and maintaining patient confidentiality. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on patient care. Salary: $21.00- $24.45, depending on experience! Benefit Highlights: + Employee annual raises when meeting or exceeding job expectations + Employer-paid Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision): 100% for employee and 80% for dependents. + 17 days PTO per year + 11 Paid Holidays + Retirement Plan with 6% match + Fantastic work/life balance + Opportunities for career advancement Health Information Technicians + Processes and scans all patient health information into the electronic patient health record, ensuring it is placed into the correct folder and is labeled using a standard naming convention. + Reviews records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies to ensure adherence to standards or regulations. + Ensures patient health records are retrieved for providers and departments in a timely manner as needed for patient care, auditing and other purposes. + Answers incoming calls in a timely and polite manner; responds or takes messages based on caller needs. Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + High school graduate or GED certificate/equivalent. + Applied knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. + Familiarity with medical terminology.
