GENERAL OVERVIEW:
This job is expected to provide insights and support on the design and execution of health outcomes research studies, including retrospective database analysis, meta-analysis and modeling
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in discussions with clinical faculty to discuss current issues in medical practice and develop research hypotheses (20%)Design and execute systematic literature review, identifications and data extraction of scientific literature, meta-analysis and/or mixed treatment comparisons (20%)Hands-on data extraction and database analysis using the electronic medical record and other relevant data sources (20%)Contribute to the write-up and review of studies and/or models, including relevant portions of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, as needed (10%)Contribute to development and review of study protocols, study analysis documents, and other documents related to the execution of clinical, health economics and outcomes research studies and models, as needed (20%)Author and present studies at scientific conferences and other appropriate venues on the behalf of the study team (10%)QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
PhD in Public Health, Statistics, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or scientific / engineering discipline (BS/MS degree in these disciplines acceptable but only if combined with 5+ years of direct experience in interdisciplinary outcomes research)Five or more publications in peer reviewed journals3 or more years prior experience with health outcomes studies and/or models3-5 years excellent understanding of research methodology used in clinical, health economics, and outcomes researchPersonal experience with regulatory submissions, clinical and research databases, biostatisticsExcellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrated leadership experience leading project teamsPreferred
