About the opportunity
We are recruiting Health Physics Monitors / Decommissioning operatives to support projects support in delivering our exciting range of projects involving decommissioning, characterisation, decontamination and waste management.
The role will be based at one of our Jacobs offices\: Birchwood, Harwell, or Westlakes Cumbria, and support projects on sites across the UK. You will be required to work at sites across the UK, with travel and site allowances paid to ensure you are comfortable wherever you are based. The role will also provide development opportunities, allowing the opportunity to develop further radiation protection skills or site management.
Role Responsibilities\:
Act as a Health Physics Surveyor on projects. Liaise with clients and sub-contractors. Perform Health Physics Surveys (radiation and contamination); Perform clearance surveys. Assist with maintaining / recording HP equipment and RPE/PPE Assist in the production of documentation such as methods statements, job reports and risk assessments; Use and deploy equipment and hand tools used for sampling.
