We are in search of a Health Planner 2 to support our growing Health practice in our Arlington, Virginia and Glen Allen, Virginia offices and continue the legacy of providing our clients and communities with creative design solutions that improve the health and human condition of those they serve. In the role of Health Planner II, we'll count on you to:Provide planning, design and coordination support on projectsEngage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawingsPrepare drawings and specification documentsResearch, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materialsUnderstanding of healthcare trends.Assist the lead Health Planner in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives.Assist the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning.Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materialsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in ArchitectureStrong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, MS Office, Blue Beam)Architectural registrationMinimum 5 years’ experience in Health PlanningAdvanced credentials desired (e.g. ACHA, LEED, EDAC, etc.)Must be willing to travelPreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related fieldA minimum of 3 years experience in A/E industryStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and modelsDetail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexibleKnowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildingsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
