Health & Safety Analyst
The Health and Safety Analyst is responsible for continually improving the Company’s Health and Safety performance. This role assists with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of occupational health and safety programs. Rush Enterprises, Inc. opens the door to the world of opportunity. Responsibilities: Assist in implementing programs, policies, and procedures that promotes health and safety standards in the workplace. Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information, routinely or ad hoc, with detail and accuracy. Routinely follow up on key performance indicators that measure both the lead and lag measures defined within the Company’s health and safety program. Assist with overseeing the Company’s health and safety audit program. When needed, perform ad hoc audits. Influence and work jointly with various corporate and field stakeholders to implement safety related education, accountability, coaching and support. When needed, interfaces with regulatory agencies and if required, partner with the Legal Department to develop responses. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred within the following fields (Business Management, Environmental Safety, or Computer Science) Demonstrate proficiency using Excel to create spreadsheets and charts to show performance metric. Must be computer literate; possess a strong understanding and use of Microsoft Office programs. Must demonstrate an overall sense of responsibility and accountability. Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Willingness to drive change and improve companies’ overall health and safety procedures. Preferred Experience: Must possess a working knowledge of health and safety theories, principles, and practices. An approved Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Health and Safety Official (CSHO) certification is preferred; or be willingness to obtain such certifications within the first 18 months of employment. RUSHINDGEN Minimum Pay Rate USD $60,000.00/Yr. Maximum Pay Rate USD $70,000.00/Yr.
