Health & Safety Coordinator
Location: Cameronbridge, Scotland
6-months Fixed-Term Contract

This is an opportunity for an individual to join and experience working in the Scotch Governance H&S function based in the South of Scotland.
We are looking for an upbeat, and adaptable individual to join our team as an Health and Safety Coordinator based at Cameronbridge in Leven.
About the Role:
As a Health & Safety Coordinator in our dedicated team in the South, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting sites to attain compliance with legislation, Diageo policies, standards, and protocols. This role will also focus on improving incident management, data assurance, and driving continuous improvement across Scotch.
Some of the Key Responsibilities are:Monitor the Enablon system for the completeness and accuracy of HSE incident logging from entry to completion.Attend site health & safety incidents as and when required, supporting H&S accident and incident investigations to ensure the standard process is followed and investigations are completed within measured timescales.Conduct daily ground-level safety checks to identify hazards and engage directly with employees to promote a culture of safety awareness.Provide immediate coaching on incidents, near misses, and other safety-related events, documenting sessions and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out.Support work streams focused on driving continuous improvement and incident reduction.Optimise risk assessment and work instruction reviews, develop new documentation as necessary, and conduct task-based risk assessments where appropriate.Collaborate closely with HSE and support site teams in addressing site-based regulatory issues.Work on Diageo’s internal data systems to ensure the accuracy of health and safety records and reporting.Monitor key safety performance indicators and targets, driving improvements and leading KPI discussions at T3 weekly meetings.Lead the closeout of safety-related actions, tracking progress to ensure timely completion.Coordinate emergency response drills and regularly review and update emergency response plans to ensure preparedness and compliance.Travel to nearby sites as required to provide on-the-ground HSE support.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team, make effective decisions, and thrive in problem-solving situations. You’ll bring energy and adaptability, with the ability to push forward improvements and share ideas that drive manufacturing excellence. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is a proactive approach to health and safety compliance.
You’ll have demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
It’d be great if you had, or were willing to work towards, the following (not essential):
NEBOSH Certificate qualification in Occupational Safety & Health.A proven track record in handling health and safety incidents and activities.Working with Us
