Health & Safety Coordinator - Incineration\n

Essential Functions & Requirements: \n\nEnsure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.\nConduct audits, evaluations, safety observations and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements and governmental regulations; recommends and monitors corrective actions.\nProvide technical assistance to assist management in controlling losses from injuries, liabilities and property losses; updates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new standards and safety practices.\nAssist in the investigation of incidents, determine root cause, and develop corrective actions.\nOversee the operation of the facility for conformance with Health and Safety regulations.\nMonitor PPE usage by employees, temporary workers, and contractors. \nConduct daily Safety walks throughout the facility.\nServe as technical resource and mentor for facility employees associated with Health & Safety matters.\nRepresent the company as part of regulatory inquiries, regulatory inspections, and customer audits.\nManage site job hazard analyses and health and safety plans.\nAssist with training employees in safety procedures and policies.\nReview work permits for work conducted by employees and contractors.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Education:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Safety Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent discipline. (required)\n\n

Experience: \n\nMinimum 2 years' experience working as a safety professional. (required)\nIn lieu of degree 10+ yrs. experience in process safety management and regulatory compliance. (required)\n\n

Competencies: \n\nStrong abilities and experience with chemical safety \/ PSM. (preferred)\nMust possess strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (required)\nMust have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills. (required)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to develop and deliver effective safety training programs\nAbility to work well as a team and interact with different groups of people.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations. (required)\n\n
