Perform engineering projects utilizing sound design principlesWorks with operations team to identify and implement safety and production CI initiatives.Create work instructions and perform job hazard analyses for areas on the production floor.Participates in safety improvements for all equipment and continuous quality improvements for processesCreates layouts and process diagrams to support standardization and CI.Identify hazards by analyzing jobs and their associated tasks.Assist in ensuring the site complies with corporate process standards. This includes preparation for the annual corporate process audit and follow-up on all issues raised during the audit.Identifies potential areas of product improvement; recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.Perform other duties as assignedWork in an office environment with limited exposure to the production floor where various rubber, adhesives, grease, oils, carbon black, steam and industrial manufacturing machines are used.OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
Currently enrolled in bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering – RequiredMust be capable to navigate and leverage the power of complicated software ERP programs and all ancillary softwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to analyze and solve problemsTake initiative to identify and resolve problemsGeneral computer knowledgePersonal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety and values focusedLeading by example with safety and safe work habitsGood hand dexterityWORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL;
