Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a versatile Health and Safety Generalist to support a broad range of safety and industrial hygiene tasks at Sandia National Labs. This role is ideal for a candidate with a balanced background in safety program management and general industrial hygiene support who can work across diverse safety disciplines, including machine guarding, electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and exposure sampling.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing safety programs covering machine guarding, pressure safety, and electrical safety per NFPA 70E standards. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Perform field assessments for various potential hazards, including noise, chemicals, and physical hazards. Conduct exposure sampling and apply safety measures to mitigate identified risks.
Support safety training sessions for personnel on LOTO, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use. Facilitate employee engagement in safety best practices.
Prepare documentation and reports on compliance inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments. Maintain organized records and track findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
Collaborate with team members to address ad hoc safety needs, ensuring alignment with Sandia National Labs safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of experience as a safety and health professional in a generalist role, with exposure to machine guarding, electrical safety (NFPA 70E), LOTO, and pressure safety.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and experience conducting exposure sampling. Knowledge of safety engineering principles, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation techniques.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred certifications include OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or any additional safety/health certifications applicable to industrial safety.
