As Health & Safety Lead, you will ensure the safety and welfare of human resources, and ensure compliance with the different applicable legislation in force and procedures for safety, occupational health, hygiene and environment, to minimize and eradicate the different types of risks in labor and environmental matters, and monitoring, surveillance and validation of the maintenance of fire and emergency systems to ensure business continuity.
You will report to EHS Sr Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure our legal compliance in safety, occupational health, hygiene and environmental matters, to guarantee the legal compliance of the site through planning and management, before the different authorities to avoid any sanction imposed by them.
Plan, manage the different annual work programs in safety, occupational health, hygiene and environment, to ensure that all processes within the organization present a low or zero risk level to prevent any type of work-related injury or illness, spill, and the correct attention of any emergency to ensure the continuity of the business as soon as possible.
Define and plan the safety, occupational health, hygiene and environmental measures and procedures for performing personnel activities, the proper handling of products, equipment, tools and facilities, to ensure the physical integrity of all employees and that the activities are carried out ensuring business continuity.
Prepare and control the annual budget for the different materials, supplies, equipment and services that will be necessary for safety, occupational health, hygiene and environmental activities, ensuring the availability of resources promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Prevention Engineering, Industrial Engineer with experience in EHS. Bachelor's degree in environment or similar.
Minimum 5 years in EHS legal compliance and systems management positions.
Knowledge of safety, occupational health, hygiene and environmental legislation applicable to the region, high risk work; risk analysis; incident investigation with root cause analysis, emergency plans, handling and storage of hazardous chemicals, motorized equipment (forklifts).
Fluent English.
