Position Overview

 

The Safety, Health, & Environmental Professional will provide support facilitating the reduction of occupational risk by the implementation of procedures and engineering processes aligned with the Global McCormick Health & Safety policy.

 

This person will be dedicated to ensuring safe practices, obtaining injury reduction, implementing initiative-taking safety processes, increasing safety awareness, and developing and maintaining robust safety training programs.

 

The role would report to the SHE Manager and support job duties and tasks that cover Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Technical resource, ensuring safe practices, injury/illness prevention processes, risk management by conducting risk assessments, and job safety analyses on plant equipment - 30% Facilitate compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements, application of McCormick Health and Safety policies and procedures, establishment of best practices for the plant/facility - 25% Support the SHE Pillar and Safety Functional Leader program in a manner that ensures Injury/Incident review boards, leading action plans, training, and root cause analysis are conducted appropriately - 15% Analyze incident data to identify trends in injuries, illnesses, accidents, or other hazards - 15% Conduct relevant training depending on site specific needs - 15%

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field (Safety/IH, Environmental, Chemistry or Engineering Minimum of 2 years of Safety, Health, and Environmental management in manufacturing Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and diplomacy skills Requires the ability to gain trust, confidence, and respect of all internal and external stakeholders.
