Clover Leaf is seeking a Health and Safety Technician 4 to support line managers and facility personnel in ensuring compliance with Laboratory and regulatory health and safety requirements. This position is on-site full-time at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This senior-level role involves assisting health and safety professionals with various sampling activities and inspections to identify and control potential hazards. The Technician will handle field, laboratory, and data management tasks, applying considerable skill in related fields such as mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, industrial hygiene, and health physics.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the collection of personnel air samples, swipe and bulk sampling, area sampling, and real-time sampling. Inspect areas and review operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide technical support in recognizing, measuring, evaluating, and controlling health and safety hazards. Facilitate the implementation of health and safety requirements and manage related data.Top Skills Desired:
Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Safety Experience: Expertise in sampling, IH mitigations, and understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE). Proficiency with Computers: Strong computer skills for data management and analysis. Personable Interaction: Effective in dealing with the workforce and facilitating communication and cooperation.Qualifications:
Advanced skills and knowledge with extensive understanding of specialized tasks and related disciplines. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using ingenuity, creativity, and independence. Work with minimal direction, contributing original work and having an impact on group accomplishments.
