PRN Health Screening Technologist
Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General where we have been providing world-class care to the community for over 100 years. Akron General offers health screenings every month at a variety of locations within the local community. Screenings may include cholesterol, blood glucose, a lipid profile and hemoglobin A1C.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 6:00AM – 7:30PM and will be working 6-20 hours per week depending on need.
A caregiver will work mostly mornings and an occasional Saturday.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Perform health screenings.
Provide flu shots seasonally
Conduct finger stick screenings using the Cardiochek analyzer.
Adhere to the governing bodies (JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and OSHA) regulations regarding screenings.
Set up equipment, run quality controls and maintain equipment.
Collaborate with Akron General labs on various issues, such as logbooks, troubleshooting and comparative studies.
Register clients and collect fees.
Inform clients of test results and make referrals to appropriate healthcare providers.
Distribute approved patient education materials.
Maintain licensure(s) and certification(s).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Licensure as LPN or RN
Valid Ohio driver’s license.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
A degree in a health field.
