Dynamic, experienced people and inspiring, innovative technologies are the norm here, not to mention letters of how these features helped improve or save people’s lives.DescriptionDescription- Conducting system, board level design, and the projects designated for the team, which will span the lifecycle of a new product from initial design and functional specification of new hardware features and architecture design all the way to supporting and validating these features (35%); - Reviewing and commenting on schematics and system reviews, developing analysis tools for hardware performance, performing sophisticated system level tests, resolving issues in existing products, and performing unit testing and integration testing (25%); - Driving the development of component/module vendors and tester/evaluation plan bring-up to deliver scalable solution to support Apple mass production in a high quality way (25%); - Collaborating with hardware, system, operations, and test engineers that will be applying the health sensing feature, as well as writing design and architecture documents (15%); and - up to 15% travel required.Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsHands-on experience and consistent track record in electrical or system hardware engineeringStrong electrical engineering background on analog, mixed signal and failure analysis with mass production experienceProficiency in SPICE, Matlab, Python, LabView or similar scripting and simulation toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven partnership and leadership skillsMinimum requirement of a bachelors degreeKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of system and firmware development is a huge plusExperience in optical module development and quality management is a plusExperience in working overseas manufacturers and vendors is a plusEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
