Health Services Information & Data Specialist

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The ID Specialist uses several analytic tools used to import data from a system, database, process and department within Health Services and create automated, repeatable reports, graphs and charts.  Develop exception and trend report and prepare graphical representations while working towards resolving compliance problems. You will report to the Compliance and Ethics Officer.

Schedule: 60% on-site, 40% remote after initial in-office training period

Location: Durant, OK or Talihina, OK

Salary Range: 80-90k

Primary Tasks:

1.       Develop reports and analytic tools with related core data systems.

2.       Collect and analyze complex data on small and large scales.

3.       Extract qualitative and quantitative relationships, including patterns and trends from large amounts of data.

4.       Apply technical expertise to explore and examine data from multiple different sources with the goal of discovering patterns and previously hidden insights to a pressing business problem.

5.       Use data visualization techniques to present complex data in the form of charts, graphs, visual simulations, and multimedia techniques to facilitate decision-making.

6.       Perform other unique audit and risk-based projects as assigned.

7.       Work with support with few direct instructions.

8.       Perform routine and semi-routine tasks as assigned: including Office Admin responsibilities.

9.       Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in information management, mathematics, statistics, finance, business, accounting, or health related field and three [3] years of experience finance, audit, information systems, project management or business analyst arena, OR seven [7] years of directly related experience in lieu of education.

·         Advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions) and familiar with the use of an Electronic Health Record.  

·         Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects

·         Ability to work with different internal and external groups
