Health Services Journeyman Electrician I or II (4 -10HR Shifts)
Overview The employee provides skilled journeyman level work in the installation, replacement, alteration, adjustment, repair, and planned maintenance necessary to maintain reliable and functionally efficient operations of electrical lighting, generation, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), variable frequency drive (VFD), motor control center (MCC), power distribution, fire alarm systems, building automation, instrumentation and control systems, fixtures and equipment. Qualifications HEALTH SERVICES JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN I EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT High school diploma or general education dedgree (GED); no exceptions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT Three (3) years of related experience. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should know Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued Unlimited Journeyman Electrician’s License. Must obtain CPR within 6 months of hire. HEALTH SERVICES JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN II EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Associate's degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or two (2) years (60 credit hours) coursework from a 4-year college or university; or three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combintation of education and experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT An additional three (3) years of related experience at an electrician journeman level. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued Unlimited Journeyman Electrician’s License. Must obtain CPR within 6 months of hire. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be knowledgeable of Occupational Safety and Health Administration codes and proficient in the use of tools common to the electrical trade. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
