What the day will look like
Primary responsibilities of this position to include developing/acquiring health and benefits knowledge, practical application and consulting/brokering skills. Ideal candidates will work well as part of a team, seek out others for input as needed and ensure work is thorough and complete. Colleagues will also provide assistance to internal client teams in such areas as marketing support, legal compliance, client service issues, and interaction with carriers. Specific tasks could include:
+ Learn and apply appropriate Aon systems relevant to the role (Greater Insight, Workday, Client Planner Bridge)
+ RFP review and preparation
+ Custom and ad hoc reporting with direct oversight
+ Participates in internal calls and meetings with more senior team members
+ Begins to build a network of internal resources and recognizes when it is appropriate to reach out to them
+ Begins working with vendors on issues with more senior team members
+ Stays up to date on client information, including client’s internal structure and changes affecting Aon work.
+ Probes effectively to define client needs and identify underlying issues.
+ Learns about health care market trends and major competitors; understands market-based rationale for business decisions; actively seeks technical experience and knowledge
+ Understands basic business and financial concepts and their impact on our business
+ Understands the relationship between time recording to profitability/recoverability
+ Under moderate supervision, collects, analyzes, and prepares information to facilitate requirements of client requests and/or support the activities of assigned AE/consultants.
+ May analyze the information or data and run reports and/or charts.
+ Begins to develop/acquire understanding of sales process and supports as necessary

Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ 0-3 years of previous related insurance experience
+ Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
+ Critical thinking and analytical skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $65,000 to $70,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Berkeley Heights, NJ. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
