Responsibilities Perform a range of diagnostic examinations and treatments according to clinic processes and procedures. Prepares patients and rooms for patient care activities, examinations and diagnostic test. Sets up equipment and instruments and hands instruments to health care providers. Take and record accurate vital signs and other required measurements. Verify patient's eligibility for treatment. Schedule appointment with the appropriate clinic and health care provider dependent on patient disposition, complaint or symptoms or services requested. Complete lab work and other point of care testing within scope of practice. Obtain lab samples, perform point of care testing, and deliver specimens directly to the lab. Administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular immunizations to all age groups in accordance with established protocols. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes documented experience which demonstrates experience: performing non-professional nursing/medical assistance work assisting Health Care Providers with medical exams; administering immunizations and medications ordered by the health care providers; and obtaining specimens (blood, mucus, urine, etc.) for laboratory testing. OR Education: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: The specialized experience as described, but less than one year; and some education leading to a bachelor's degree but less than required.
