The Health Tech II reports directly to the Nurse Supervisor and provides direct health care support to the patients in collaboration with the other healthcare team members. Facilitates patient care and prepares patients for visits, assist clinicians with procedures, performs office tests and procedures as requested by clinicians.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor or his/her designee, provides basic health assessments and health care support to students. Facilitates patient care by obtaining an appropriate health history and identifying the patient’s reason for visit. Prepares patient for visits, assists clinicians with procedures, and performs office tests and procedures as requested by clinicians.
