Healthcare Compliance and Ethics Officer

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** The Healthcare Compliance and Ethics Officer will monitor, and report results of compliance and ethics efforts reporting to the CNO Director of Compliance and Ethics, CNHSA Governing Board, and dotted line reporting to the CNO Executive Officer of Health Services. The Compliance and Ethics Officer ensures high levels of compliance with all laws and regulations while supporting growth. You will report to the Director of Compliance and Ethics.
**Work schedule** : Monday-Friday hybrid schedule working two days in office, 3 days remotely.
**Starting Salary:** $110,000.00
**Location:** can be officed at Durant, OK or Talihina, OK
**Primary Tasks:**
1. You will identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and recommend corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
2. You will develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the healthcare compliance program as it relates to activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
3. Inform CNHSA Leadership, Governing Board, and CNO Director of Compliance and Ethics of the operation and progress of healthcare compliance efforts.
4. Institute and maintain a healthcare compliance communication program for the organization including promoting CNO third-party reporting system, heightened awareness of CNO’s Code of Ethics, and understanding of all healthcare compliance issues related to policies and procedures.
5. Manage oversight and compliance with regulatory reporting and you will manage healthcare compliance specialists and analysts.
6. You will lead Healthcare Compliance Committee meetings.
7. Consult with CNO Legal Counsel to resolve difficult legal compliance issues to include HIPPA.
8. Leverage internal expertise from the ACE Department relating to policies and procedures, auditing, training and communication, analytic monitoring, and investigations.
9. Review workflows, manage a compliance staff, develop, and review company policies, and respond to policy violations accordingly
10. Other tasks as assigned.
**Job Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Business Law, Healthcare Law, Healthcare Management, related field and seven (7) years of experience in a healthcare compliance role.
* OR; 11 years of equivalent education and/or experience
* Have or obtain within 6 months a CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance) certification or similar healthcare certification.
* Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General healthcare compliance guidance.
* Knowledge of legal requirements and procedures related to healthcare.
* Ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and analyze their impact on operations.
* Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
