The Health Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, instructing, and evaluating the educational programs for the Community Wellness department focusing on health and wellness courses. Instructs health education courses including but not limited to weight management, diabetes prevention, blood pressure self-management, tobacco cessation, and CPR. Provides community health education through presentations, class instruction, information distribution, and working with various organizations. The Health Educator must consistently demonstrate professional performance, and reflect the key moral commitments, ethical principles, values and philosophy of the department and Providence as set forward in the mission statement.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Community Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, or a closely related field. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 1 year - Related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals. 1 year - Experience with latest trends in health education, self-management, and behavior change including through school curriculum.Preferred Qualifications:
1 year - Experience in teaching adult learners. 3 years - Experience with in-person, phone, and web based behavior change programming.Why Join Providence?
