Position Summary:

The Healthcare Navigator is responsible for working with individuals who have a substance use disorder by securing state or private insurance to achieve RCORP-Impact related goals and meet program requirements.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Assesses the resource needs of program participants. Helps enroll individuals into health insurance to maximize opportunities to bill for services. Assists with post-enrollment activities, such as requesting pre-authorization for services, appealing coverage decisions, etc. Participates monthly in learning collaborative meetings. Acts as advocate on behalf of assigned program participants. Participates in clinical staffing decisions regarding the participant’s resources and their need for additional resources. Provides input in the patient’s treatment needs and dispositions. Assists other WestCare staff as needed to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community. Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Kentucky. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.
