Our client, a highly-regarded AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their national Healthcare practice. The position is available in multiple office locations, with a strong preference for the Denver office.
Candidate Profile: JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction. 2+ years of substantive experience in healthcare law. Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following healthcare law areas: State licensure of healthcare entities and practitioners. Government payor enrollment, reimbursement, and audits (Medicare, Medicaid, and contracted Medicare/Medicaid plans). Healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including federal anti-kickback, Stark Law, and CMP provisions. Government investigations and related litigation. HIPAA, privacy, and security compliance. Healthcare system operations and/or payor contracting. Regulatory or transactional support for healthcare M&A deals. Strong research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively. Motivated self-starter with a team-oriented mindset and the ambition to contribute to the growth of the national healthcare practice. Key Responsibilities: Advise healthcare clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including state licensure, reimbursement issues, and fraud and abuse laws. Assist in government investigations and related litigation involving healthcare entities and practitioners. Provide legal counsel on HIPAA, privacy, and security compliance issues. Support transactional and regulatory aspects of healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Work closely with a team of experienced attorneys in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
