SSO is committed to a diverse workforce, which is a reflection of our clients and the people they serve. **Healthcare Program Specialist in Albany, NY** **Item 1103** **Summary:** Working with the Bureau of Managed Care Certification and Surveillance, this position will be responsible for supporting activities within the bureau’s Certification unit. The certification unit receives a significant number of applications and other submissions from plans that need to be tracked and monitored. Typical responsibilities will include: Maintain tracking system/database for certification documents submissions received through section shared mailbox. Monitor database records for completion, requesting follow up from plan managers if necessary. Create reports based on Bureau/Division needs. Provide support in reviewing and processing IPA and other Consents for the Division Director’s approval and signature. Provide back up support for monitoring bureau email box and direct emails to appropriate staff person for response/review. Provide backup support to current staff in the review and approval of provider and management contracts. Provide support in the development of, and/or updating bureau policies and procedures. Provide support with bureau initiatives to improve efficiency of operations and streamline processes. Reviews, proofreads, and handles correspondence, including e-mail. Composes and handles assigned correspondence to staff and external customers. Recognizes and appropriately handles materials which is confidential. Work with internal and external personnel in the achievement of bureau, division, and Department goals and objectives. Serve as back up to the PNDS Coordinator (PNDS) as needed **Additional Requirements/Requests:** 1. Experience with the use of standard office technology, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel 2. Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize work assignments 3. The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment 4. Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal) 5. The ability to think creatively and strategically, to develop and implement solutions 6. Experience with, or knowledge of, Medicaid or other health insurance programs Education: An associate degree can count as 2 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree can count as 4 years of experience, and a master’s degree can count as 5 years of experience. 6 years’ experience in the healthcare field Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
