Healthcare Provider Compensation Analyst

Title: Provider Compensation Analyst

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer LHCE

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Objective:

The position is responsible for conducting comprehensive and complex analysis related to physician compensation and provider productivity.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Effectively communicates and acts as a champion for collaboration

2. Provides recommendations on physician compensation and incentive; with an eye for increasing consistency, reducing risk, and minimizing process complexity

3. Co-Leads the Physician Compensation Committee (PCC) providing recommendations and further insight to support the Committee's decision-making process

4. Remains informed on trends in physician compensation with sources such as American Medical Group Association (AMGA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), Sullivan Cotter, as well as the trends regionally and with other large medical groups

5. Provides training and guidance on Fair Market Valuation process and confirms that on all Physician Compensation Models are in compliance with Fair Market Guidelines

6. Interprets, analyzes and implements compensation arrangement outlined in Physician Employment Agreements and Professional Services Agreements.

7. Conducts comprehensive and complex analysis related to physician compensation and provider productivity.

8. Manages quarterly compensation reconciliation summaries for physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

9. Collaborates closely with external appraisers / consultants on the data gathering and analysis for Fair Market Value (FMV) and Commercial Reasonableness (CR) reviews.

10. Assists with the development of the annual budget.

11. Adheres to all Luminis Health policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

12. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

13. Other duties as assigned.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; or equivalent training.

· Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in compensation analysis.

· Effective oral and written communication skills.

· High level of discretion and strong analytical skills required

There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens. Physical Demands -

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
