This is a seasonal position that requires living on-site from Sunday through Friday during camp sessions. The Healthcare Supervisor will be responsible for the health and well-being of campers, volunteers, and staff throughout the summer. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a group or camp setting and be able to administer necessary medical treatment and care under the guidance of a licensed physician. Job Qualifications Current certification as licensed registered nurse, certified paramedic, licensed physician, licensed physician’s assistant, certified EMT, certified nurse practitioner or equivalent. - Minimum of 25 years of age and experience with treating children. - Successful clearance of a Level 2 background screening and the National Sexual Offender Public Website. - Previous experience working with youth in a group or camp setting. - Understanding of the Girl Scout Organization, National Program Portfolio, and a willingness to subscribe to the principles expressed in the Promise and Law. - Ability to think clearly, take charge and communicate necessary instructions to campers and staff in an emergency and have the physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. - Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury). - Have a current GSUSA membership or be willing to obtain one prior to beginning work. - Must submit a current Health Examination prior to the first day of pre-camp.
