We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing top-quality healthcare support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings, orientation, and trainings as directed by charge nurse and management.Clean and tidy rooms, ensuring all areas and items are tidy and clean every shift, and labeled as per policy.Serve meals in a timely fashion and report any changes in dietary intake to the Charge Nurse.Answer call bells as soon as observed.Assure safety at all times through observation, correction of environmental problems, and proper use of protective devices as ordered. Follow emergency, fire, and disaster procedures as taught.Report any items to be ordered, repaired, or missing to the Charge Nurse.Document care given on the appropriate forms during and at the end of each shift.Essential SkillsKnowledge of medical terminology.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from an accredited program.Minimum of 6 months experience working in a similar setting.High customer service and communication skills.Ability to follow directions and report back to the charge nurse.High attention to detail and patience.Proficiency in patient care.Experience with healthcare support.Familiarity with Sigma Care system.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or its equivalent.Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.Work Environment
Located in Northern Manhattan, our 705-capacity short-term rehabilitation facility is dedicated to providing quality care through diverse programs and services. We support health and independence for individuals needing care. Staff are required to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week, with an every other weekend schedule. Day shifts run from 7:30am-3:30pm, evening shifts from 3:30pm-11:30pm, and night shifts from 11:30pm-7:30am. The first week includes classroom training from 9am to 5pm on the first three days, followed by shift-based buddying starting on the fourth day.
