The Research Associate III works closely with PI providing technical and/or administrative support in large or multi-project oriented labs. The incumbent may be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities, and provide administrative leadership, and/or technical expertise. The incumbent may develop hypothesis and assist in planning steps for the investigative process and will review and remain current on literature as it relates to clinical/research study. This position coordinates all lab and/or clinical activities, including but not limited to, budgetary/financial compliance, preparation of grant proposals, and creating independent presentations. This role is not responsible for generating grant funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Be the QA subject matter expert and enforcer with respect to ensuring compliance of QA procedures required for GLP and GCLP.Develop, implement, and maintain QA to meet industry and regulatory standards (GLP, GCLP).Collects and reviews defect data contained in non-conformance forms, summarized defect data, and publishes trend charts and corrective action status and effectiveness. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring all findings are addressed and compliance with regulatory requirements is maintained.Analyze existing processes, identify areas for optimization, and lead quality improvement projects to enhance efficiency and product quality. Implement, assess and approve any changes to GLP- and GCLP-systems to assure validated state of the systems is maintained.Contribute to the organizations business development and client interaction and interact with clients requiring GLP or GCLP workflowsTraining and provide guidance to staff when involved in QA by working and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.Assist when needed, sample preparation, data analysis, and report productionQualificationsBachelors Required. MS, or PhD in biomedical sciences or related field.3 years of experience in an area of research specializationTechnical skills and expertise in an area of study including, but not limited to, Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, engineering, or mass spectometry. Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other customers of the medical center.
