We want you to apply! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Intake/Office Coordinator assists in patient care and provides support for the providers within the Heart Transplant and VAD program. **What you will do in this role:** + Able to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees. + Performs vital signs and take information on patients + Performs tasks that involve the exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. + Performs selected administrative duties and assists nursing staff. + Prepares patients for examination and treatment. + Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. + Gives injections, draws blood and applies dressings, as applicable. + Assists with scheduling of tests and treatments. + Provides general information on departmental policies and procedures. + Notifies the Clinical Supervisor or Office Coordinator when clinical and/or office supplies need replenishing. + Assist in maintain patient files, records, and other information to contribute to accurate data gathering. + Attends meetings + Maintains patient confidentiality + Responsible for creating an Excellence Always culture as it pertains to patients, families, physicians and peers. + Follows through on patients’ needs through coordination of services. **What qualifications you will need:** + Certified Medical Assistant Required + Adult Clinic care experience at least 1 year, cardiovascular or transplant experience preferred + Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care.
