Heat Treat Technician
**Job Title: Heat Treat Technician** **Job Description** Candidate will set up and perform controlled heat treating to offset the high temperature effects of welding. Perform additional heating applications including: brake outs, pre-heating, refractory curing, heat alignments, and lower temperature line heating and similar thermal processes as mandated. Responsibilities include loading, assembling, disassembling, and maintaining heat-treating equipment. Fasten, secure, or weld thermocouples using capacitor discharge units to work piece. Install and remove thermal heating pads, electrical resistance heaters, induction coils, and insulation. **Hard Skills** + Heat treat experience + Experience using thermocouples + Operating portable control systems + Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting codes and quality control programs + Knowledge of metallurgy, electricity, combustion, and heat transfer methods **Work Environment** Non-climate controlled manufacturing shop.
